Job Summary * Gathers data and produces daily, weekly and month end reports for management * Performs reconciliation of bank accounts, intercompany accounts and balance sheet accounts * Generates most of the month end journal entries. Interact with others to obtain information for month end * Interacts with other departments such as Sales & Marketing, Operations and Corporate Finance and IT * Assists with the accuracy of the physical inventory count once per year * Assists in monitoring and enforcement of policies, procedures and controls designed to safeguard company assets * Act as a lead amongst the Finance team, providing guidance and advice to team members as required * Flashing Financial results by noon on the 4th business day of Flash Week * Completion of government statistical reports * Knowledge of Microsoft D365 or AX2012 would be an asset Required Skills * College diploma or a University Degree in Finance, Commerce or Business (preferred) * 3+ years of working experience in a JIT manufacturing operation * Above average PC skills (Excel and Microsoft Outlook) Pivot tables, VLOOKUP's are key * Detail and deadline oriented * Strong time management skills * Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with various departments * Strong leadership abilities * Reliable and able to work the extra hours if need be * Quick learner – there is lots of knowledge to absorb * Comfortable explaining processes to others and doesn’t shy away from advising others of their mistakes. * Can teach others new ways of doing things or show them how to correct their errors * Methodical in nature Tempur Sealy International is committed to equal opportunities, and values diversity in our workforce. The Plant Accountant is responsible for gathering data to produce daily, weekly, and month-end financial reports and performing account reconciliations. They also manage journal entries, assist with annual physical inventory counts, and provide guidance to the finance team.

Candidates should have a college diploma or university degree in Finance, Commerce, or Business and at least 3 years of experience in a JIT manufacturing environment. Proficiency in Excel (Pivot tables, VLOOKUPs) and strong communication and leadership abilities are required.
