Support the Senior Controller in managing accounting operations, leading month-end and year-end close, preparing financial statements and management reports, and maintaining compliance and internal controls. Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, ERP reporting, and business partnership, while serving as a backup to the Senior Controller across the specified operations.

Process biweekly payroll for approximately 600 employees in Canada and the United States, including reviewing time records, calculating pay and deductions, resolving discrepancies, and maintaining payroll records. Manage payroll accounting, statutory remittances, benefits and year-end reconciliations, payroll system configuration, and process improvements while monitoring legislative changes.

The accountant will be responsible for daily sales entry, verifying financial reports, and managing accounts receivable. They will also assist with physical inventory counts and eventually support the controller with bank reconciliations and general ledger tasks.

The Internal Auditor will support the planning and execution of risk-based audits, including financial, operational, and compliance testing. They will also document business processes, identify control gaps, and assist in reporting findings to senior team members.
