As a trusted advisor, you’ll provide expertise to empower Indigenous communities, organizations, businesses and individuals in navigating a dynamic social, political and economic environment. Responsibilities * Work closely with Indigenous community and enterprise clients to assess their accounting systems and assist in delivering tailored capacity-building initiatives * Assist with reviewing client accounting practices to create a strategic plan for growth, capacity development, and financial literacy * Support activities related to external financing, system implementations, and chart of accounts setup * Deliver hands-on training in accounting functions including assisting the client with audit preparation * Prepare finance policies and process maps, prepare recommended amendments as required * Provide training on general matters such as payroll, GST/PST, and T4 filing * Facilitate project updates to Management and Leadership * Maintain flexibility to travel, as necessary Skills and Experience * A degree or diploma in Business Administration or Accounting * CPA, CAFM, or equivalent designation preferred * Minimum 3 years of relevant experience * Experience working with Indigenous communities is a strong asset * Strong knowledge of accounting principles and organizational finance * Excellent communication and relationship-building skills MyRewards@MNP With a focus on high-potential earnings, MNP is proud to offer customized rewards that support our unique culture and a balanced lifestyle to thrive at work and outside of the office.
