About This Team The Payroll team sits within the Finance Operations function and is responsible for supporting our fast-growing business by attending to the needs of our employees. Core Responsibilities Lead the Canada payroll function, providing clear direction, capability development, and performance management of the Payroll Specialists to ensure consistent, high-quality delivery. Monitor compliance with payroll policies, procedures, and legislative requirements across payroll cycles. Oversee and support end-to-end payroll processing activities to ensure payroll is completed accurately and on schedule. Ensure payroll previews are thoroughly reviewed and all identified errors are corrected before processing. Act as the primary point of escalation for payroll-related inquiries, providing guidance, coaching, and subject matter expertise to the team Review and reconcile payroll balances on processing days, investigating and resolving discrepancies prior to payroll submission. Review bonus , stock option/RSU, one-time payment and expense reimbursement files to confirm successful loading, balancing, and processing. Partner with cross-functional stakeholders (People & Culture, Finance Systems, and business leaders) to resolve payroll issues and improve the employee experience. Support in internal and external adhoc requests/reporting Qualifications Proven people leadership experience, with demonstrated capability in leading, developing, and performance-managing payroll teams within a complex environment. Canada payroll knowledge and legislative requirements. Hands-on experience working with enterprise payroll, HR, finance, and time & attendance systems (e.g. ADP Workforce Now, Ceridian Dayforce, Workday, ServiceNow) must haves Acknowledge the presence of choice in every moment and take personal responsibility for your life. Compensation And Benefits Package lululemon’s compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from $95,400 – 125,200 annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. Requirements
Requires proven experience leading, developing, and performance-managing payroll teams in a complex environment, along with knowledge of Canadian payroll and legislative requirements. Hands-on experience with enterprise payroll, HR, finance, and time-and-attendance systems such as ADP Workforce Now, Ceridian Dayforce, Workday, or ServiceNow is required; authorization to work in Canada is also required.
