📊 Director of Accounting and Finance 📍 Montreal, QC · On-Site · Full-Time We're LEDPAX (USA) and GNG Sales (Canada) — a growing, cross-border LED lighting business — and we're hiring a Director of Accounting and Finance to own and build out our finance department. This is a hands-on role with real ownership and room to grow as the company grows. We're looking for someone ready to take the next step up — a strong accountant and emerging leader who wants to own a finance function end to end, not just a seat in a large team. We recently consolidated onto Odoo as our single system of record, and we're building the finance function to match the pace of the business. 🎯 What you'll do • Own finance process excellence across both companies • Run a reliable, on-time month-end and year-end close • Deliver consolidated reporting across entities and divisions • Build cash flow forecasting and a company budget with variance analysis • Strengthen controls — AP approvals, expense reporting, AR/collections • Own intercompany accounting and consolidations • Build accurate inventory reporting across 3PL partners • Manage US & Canada tax, remittances, and cross-border payroll • Lead the annual engagement review and manage third-party firms (accountants, auditors, advisors) • Serve as the primary banking liaison across both countries • Lead and develop the finance team; set the cadence and standards • Implement HR policies and oversee hiring, onboarding, and people processes • Partner with ownership on strategy, growth, and company performance • Keep optimizing our Odoo ERP ✅ What we're looking for • CPA or equivalent (or working toward it), with solid accounting experience • Ready to step up into an ownership role — ambitious, driven, and hands-on • An emerging leader who can build, coach, and set standards for a small team • Detail-oriented — equally strong in the numbers and with people • Month-end close and financial reporting experience (multi-entity a plus) • Intercompany, consolidations, cash flow, and budgeting experience • Experience with annual engagement reviews and managing third-party firms • Comfortable acting as a banking liaison • ERP experience (Odoo a plus) • Cross-border US/Canada exposure a plus • Open to implementing HR policies and supporting hiring • Composed under pressure, solutions-oriented, a clear communicator 📌 The details • Location — On-site in Montreal, 5 days a week (not remote/hybrid) • Role — Director of Accounting and Finance, with room to grow as we grow • Compensation — Competitive, commensurate with experience ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ If you're ready to take ownership and grow with us, we'd love to hear from you. Requirements

A CPA or equivalent qualification, or progress toward one, and solid accounting experience are sought, along with experience in financial close, reporting, consolidations, intercompany accounting, cash flow, and budgeting. The candidate should be a hands-on emerging leader with strong communication and people skills; ERP experience is expected, while Odoo and cross-border US–Canada experience are advantages.
