Job Description We are working with a privately held company based in Burlington to bring on a Staff Accountant on a permanent basis. This is a generalist accounting role sitting inside a small, fast-moving finance team where you will touch multiple areas of the function rather than sitting in a single lane. The company is scaling and the team needs someone who can keep up, take ownership, and grow with it.

Responsibilities Support the monthly and quarterly close cycle including preparation of journal entries and supporting schedules Perform reconciliations across a range of balance sheet accounts and investigate and resolve variances Process and code vendor transactions and ensure the payables ledger stays current and accurate Review and process employee reimbursements and corporate card activity on a regular cycle Apply incoming cash receipts and maintain accuracy across customer and vendor balances Assist with the preparation of internal financial reports and schedules for management review Work with colleagues across the business to resolve transaction queries and gather supporting documentation Contribute to process improvement initiatives as the team looks to modernize and streamline how work gets done Support year-end preparation and assist with audit-ready documentation as needed

What We're Looking For Two or more years of accounting experience in an industry setting Comfortable across multiple areas of accounting, not just one function Working toward the CPA Solid Excel skills you use regularly and confidently Organized, accurate, and able to manage competing priorities without dropping the ball Someone who takes initiative and does not need to be walked through every task Undergraduate degree in accounting, business, or a related field
