Department: FinanceEmployment Type: Full-TimeRequisition ID: 1938Date Posted: August 6, 2026 Closing Date: August 20, 2026 or until filled  Position Summary:   Reporting to a Senior Manager, Corporate Development, the Financial Analyst, Capital Assets will be responsible for providing financial and analytical expertise across the capital investment lifecycle.  The role supports capital planning, project financial management, fixed asset accounting, investment performance. The incumbent plays a critical role in ensuring capital investments are appropriately tracked, capitalized, and measured against expected business outcomes, while maintain strong financial controls, governance and data integrity.   Key Responsibilities:

Manage Asset Under Construction (AUC) process to ensure timely and correct capitalization of assets. Administer the full asset lifecycle, including asset creation, transfers, depreciation, impairment, retirement and disposal. Calculate and track key financial metrics resulting from Capex projects (ROIC, EBITDA, IRR) Prepare the daily/weekly/monthly financial reporting that supports the decision making of business leaders within finance and operations.  Review the accuracy and appropriate accounting treatment of underlying transactions and financial postings within our systems. Complete monthly reconciliation of assigned balance sheet accounts with an emphasis on internal controls and risk management. Complete monthly asset continuity schedules Provide financial support for business operators and cross-functional team members. Assist with the execution of the capital forecasting and/or budgeting processes. Gather and compile information for external audit requests. Record various routine and ad hoc month end journal entries and accruals. Continuously enhance financial processes, reporting capabilities and internal controls. Update financial systems/technology and procedure manuals as required.

  Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business. Professional accounting designation or equivalent (CPA, CFA) 3-5 years of progressive finance and accounting experience. Experience with SAP, D365, or IFS, including project accounting, asset management, fixed asset modules.   Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint and PowerBI) with the ability to develop financial models, dashboards, performance reports and executive presentations. Self-motivated and results oriented with a focus on quality and attention to detail. Ability to collaborate across functional groups and build relationships within the business. Proven analytical and problem-solving capabilities with strong written and verbal communications skills.
