As part of the Bridgewater team, you’ll enjoy: Competitive salary and flexible benefits Employer-paid retirement savings program Employee-exclusive discounts on travel, insurance, memberships, and more Free travel medical insurance for you and your immediate family Ongoing professional development Flexible work models that make sense for your lifestyle Who You Are You’re detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy and data integrity You’re analytical and able to translate complex financial data into meaningful insights You’re highly organized and thrive in a deadline-driven environment You’re a strong communicator who can collaborate with both internal teams and external partners You take ownership of your work and approach challenges with curiosity and initiative You maintain a high level of professionalism, confidentiality, and accountability How You’ll Make an Impact Prepare and support monthly and annual financial reporting, including reconciliations and journal entries Prepare materials and reports for board and management committees, including regulatory and financial reporting updates Complete and submit regulatory filings to organizations such as OSFI, Bank of Canada, and CMHC within required timelines Support Treasury activities, including securitization transactions, REPOs, and derivative-related processes Manage and support end-to-end mortgage securitization processes, including system validation and reporting accuracy Maintain responsibility for GST/HST accounting, filings, and ongoing compliance updates Contribute to corporate tax reporting, including preparation of annual returns Research accounting and regulatory changes (including IFRS updates) and support implementation Strengthen internal controls and contribute to process documentation and improvements What You Bring to the Table Post-secondary education in Accounting or a related field Completion or near completion of a professional accounting designation (CPA or equivalent) Minimum of three years’ experience in a related accounting or reporting role Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel skills Experience in financial reporting and accounting environments Knowledge of corporate tax and regulatory reporting requirements is an asset Ability to adapt quickly to systems and processes in a dynamic environment Belonging Matters Here Bridgewater Bank is committed to providing an inclusive, respectful, and accessible environment.
