About the role

ClubLink Corporate Office is hiring a General Accounting Analyst!

ClubLink is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Club Analyst to join our finance team. Reporting to the Club Controller, this role will support financial analysis and reporting across multiple club locations.

Scope Of The Position

The club analyst is responsible for the financial analysis, accounting and reporting matters of a subset of golf course properties. This role combines accounting expertise with financial analysis to ensure accurate financial reporting and relevant analysis of a property. This position works closely with club management and other operating personnel in conjunction with these goals and to support operational decision-making.

Job Responsibilities

Financial Accounting

Maintain general ledger accounts and ensure accurate recording of financial transactions. Perform month-end, quarter end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies. Reconcile various accounts including working capital accounts such as prepaids, annual dues and deferred revenue as well as membership activity Verify and authorize outgoing payables to ensure their validity and proper approvals exist.

Financial Analysis

Analyze property operating results and identify financial trends and variances. Prepare variance analyses as necessary Monitor key financial performance indicators (KPIs) such as: Club contribution Golf rounds Members Provide recommendations to improve financial performance and operational efficiency. Help develop, revise and enforce policies that streamline operations Reporting/Controls

Prepare monthly financial statements for assigned properties. Participate in internal and external audits and prepare relevant supporting documentation Monitoring internal controls applicable to the assigned set of properties

Collaboration

Provide coaching, guidance, evaluation and feedback in order to foster professional development Manage a small staff of dedicated accounting clerks assigned to your properties Provide training and direction to property personnel and management to improve efficiencies and accuracy of information in addition to adhering to company policies and procedures. Work closely with golf clubs and other departments to identify, correct and prevent issues that have implications on their financial goals Monitor and act as a liaison in the implementation of best practice strategies in order to enhance internal controls and achieve consistency across clubs

Other

Maintain property tax records, database and reporting in addition to reviewing property tax assessments and considering opportunities for managing the property tax burden of the organization.

Qualifications

Working knowledge of FRx, Microsoft suite of products Three to five years accounting experience, with some preferred in a managerial role Strong interpersonal and communication skills Excellent Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables VLOOKUP Enrolled in designated accounting program considered an asset Comfort in working with business intelligence tools This is a full-time position with flexibility around a three day in office hybrid work policy with occasional overtime around quarter end or year end deadlines.
