Job Description What is the Opportunity? Join the CFO Controls Office Centre of Excellence and lead General Ledger Governance & Advisory - where financial controls meet strategic impact. This Senior Manager role uniquely combines project-based finance work, hands-on people leadership, technical analytics, and advisory. You'll own governance of attestations, reconciliations, and policy while advising Platform Financial Control teams across RBC, translating complex control requirements into actionable strategy. Thrive in the intersection of financial control, process optimization, and team leadership. Leverage SQL and dashboard-building to automate controls, uncover insights, and drive continuous balance sheet improvement. Make a visible impact on RBC's governance while growing technical expertise and leading high-performing teams. What will you do? Lead team orchestration of the Enterprise GL Attestation monthly process, managing account ownership, task release, monitoring, oversight, and attestation council representation Provide Policy guidance and training to business partners; advise on inquiries, pilot programs, and Policy updates Drive stakeholder knowledge elevation through targeted training and education programs Serve as single point of accountability for attestation system technical issues; oversee Production Support IT to ensure timely resolution and logging Act as Data Steward for GL Attestation application, database, and Tableau Server reports Deliver Financial Control insights by maintaining timely Tableau reporting and data extracts Collaborate with Platform Financial Control teams on efficiency initiatives to automate reconciliation and attestation processes Partner with Internal Audit to enhance Enterprise Attestation Process monitoring effectiveness What do you need to succeed? Must-Have 5+ years in Financial Controls, Governance, and/ or internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR) Proven people management experience leading small teams or engagements Strong curiosity for operational improvement balanced with governance rigor; proven ability to own issues and drive urgent resolution Advanced project management and organizational skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Visio, PowerPoint) Exceptional stakeholder management and cross-platform collaboration skills; natural leader and communicator at all organizational levels Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities independently, meet tight deadlines, and maintain strong financial/analytical judgment Nice-to-Have CPA or equivalent professional designation Hands-on experience with PEGA GL Attestation process Knowledge of Balance Sheet structure and reporting business rules Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server experience SQL query development experience for data research, analysis, troubleshooting, and business reporting What’s in it for you?
