Our client, a large international company operating in the agri-food manufacturing sector, is looking for a Plant Controller. The selected candidate will play a central role in financial monitoring of the site, performance analysis, data integrity, and supporting management teams in their decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a financial partner to plant leadership and operational teams to support decision-making.
- Ensure the accuracy, reliability, and integrity of the site's financial data.
- Oversee monthly and annual closing activities related to manufacturing operations.
- Prepare, analyze, and validate financial reports for internal stakeholders.
- Lead the annual budgeting process, financial forecasts, and periodic revisions.
- Analyze variances between actual results, budgets, and forecasts, and communicate findings to leadership.
- Calculate, update, and analyze standard costs, production costs, and costs related to new products.
- Participate in improvement, optimization, and cost-reduction initiatives, including validating financial assumptions.
- Monitor and control inventory, including finished goods, raw materials, and packaging.
- Ensure compliance with procedures, KPIs, internal controls, and financial best practices, while identifying discrepancies and financial risks.
- Oversee fixed assets tracking as well as the analysis, control, and forecasting of subcontracting costs.
- Supervise a Senior Financial Analyst.
- Perform any other related tasks and manage special projects as required.

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
- Experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Advisory mindset with the ability to influence decision-makers.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and manufacturing costing.
- Professional bilingualism in French and English (50% of communications are in English).
- Strong computer skills, including advanced Excel.
- Strong attention to detail, autonomy, and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of SAP is a strong asset.
- CPA designation is a significant asset.
Salary: $100,000 to $150,000 annually, depending on experience.
Schedule: Day shift, between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., with flexibility.
Status: Permanent
