About the role
We're partnering with a well-established organization in South Edmonton to find a Financial Analyst for a 10-month contract with an immediate start. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a mix of financial reporting, analysis, budgeting, process improvement, and project work in a collaborative finance team.
Candidates with Workday experience are strongly preferred.
What You'll Be Doing Prepare and analyze monthly financial and operational reports to support business decision-making. Perform variance analysis, identify trends, and provide recommendations to improve financial performance. Develop forecasts, financial models, and ad hoc reporting for management. Prepare and maintain financial statements and management reporting packages. Partner with stakeholders across the business to provide financial insights and support strategic initiatives. Lead and support finance-related projects, including process improvement and technology initiatives. Evaluate current finance processes, identify opportunities for increased efficiency, and implement improvements. Document policies, procedures, and workflows to support strong internal controls and consistency. Assist with annual budgeting, forecasting, and other finance initiatives as required. What We're Looking For CPA designation. 5+ years of progressive accounting or financial analysis experience. Strong financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis experience. Advanced Excel skills with the ability to analyze and manipulate complex financial data. Workday experience strongly preferred Experience improving finance processes and implementing operational efficiencies. Ability to manage multiple priorities and communicate effectively with stakeholders across the organization. Experience supporting finance projects, system implementations, or process improvement initiatives is considered an asset.
