About the role
Under the supervision of the Finance Department, the incumbent ensures accurate and compliant management of payroll records as well as accounts payable for both campuses. A true reference in labor standards, collective agreements, and payroll taxation, he/she guarantees the accuracy of accounting entries and adherence to budget procedures.
Tasks and Responsibilities
Payroll:
- Create and update employee records in the payroll system (hiring, termination, changes)
- Properly apply salary scales according to collective agreements, seniority, and minimum wage
- Enter all payroll data (regular hours, overtime, absences, etc.) for both campuses
- Perform data transfers to the accounting system
- Manage contributions (pension funds, unions, insurance, etc.) and monitor time banks (sick leave, vacation, accumulated time)
- Produce Records of Employment and calculate vacation and statutory holidays according to applicable rules
- Prepare payroll deductions at source and carry out monthly government remittances
- Prepare and reconcile entries related to group insurance
- Follow up with CARRA, RREGOP, RREP, and union organizations as required
Accounts Payable:
- Process invoices: verification, entry, and filing
- Manage expense and travel reimbursements
- Assign invoices to the appropriate budget accounts and follow up via Pluriportail
- Verify consistency between invoices, quotes, and approvals
- Reconcile credit cards monthly, including expense justification and recording
- Communicate with suppliers for clarification and payment follow-ups
- Perform any other related duties associated with the position

Requirements and Skills
- Education: DEP, DEC, or AEC in administration, accounting, or a related field
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a similar payroll-related role
- Strong knowledge of tax regulations and legal obligations related to payroll and benefits
- Excellent command of French and English, both spoken and written
- Good proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
- PCP or LAP certification from the National Payroll Institute: an asset
- Knowledge of Plurilogic: an asset
- Autonomy, initiative, and sense of responsibility
- Team spirit and ability to collaborate with various departments
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Professional integrity and discretion in handling confidential information
Salary: $25.21 to $32.47 per hour
Schedule: Flexible, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. or 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (on-site)
Status: Temporary, 1 month
