Your Impact at Empire Empire Homes is seeking a Market Research Analyst! Under the direction of the Manager, Market Research and working primarily with Empire’s Canadian Operations Team, your focus is to conduct research and competitive analyses on the housing industry with a goal to assess Empire’s competitive performance and market position. This includes research into demographic trends, economic conditions, new and resale price trends, and housing typologies across Empire’s primary areas of operations in the Greater Toronto Area and Greater Golden Horseshoe. This role is located at our Empire Canada Head Office in Vaughan, ON. This posting is for a newly budgeted position. The expected annual salary range for this role in $60,000 - $85,000/year. This position is also eligible to participate in our short-term incentive program. Please note the compensation information shown above is a general guideline only. What We Are Looking For: 1+ years of relevant work experience in a similar role, ideally with a residential consulting firm, builder, or planning firm, is required. Post-secondary education such as Bachelor’s Degree in Urban Planning, Real Estate, Economics and Business, or other relevant field of study. Demonstrated experience and knowledge with Microsoft Office Software and Systems (Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBI). Strong interest in housing and its importance to our society, and a keen interest in market exploration, housing projects and project profitability. What You’ll Be Doing Each Day Assisting with conducting analysis on historical and current trends in demographics, economics, housing prices, rental prices, and new product research. Assist in monitoring industry trends, new developments, and acquisitions within Empire’s primary markets utilizing regional and national internal and external real estate, economic and financial data. Assist with updating Empire’s existing housing market and economic databases and assist in expanding these databases to include additional data sets and/or new market areas, as required. Conduct local site visits to select competitor and other new home sites, to establish factors such as price level and positioning, product quality and finishes, brand marketing, customer experience and assesses impact on Empire’s market positioning. Conduct market research to assist with analysis of potential acquisitions and future development opportunities. Using the above listed datasets and findings to analyze Empire’s market presence relative to sales targets and competitor performance.
