About the role

Location: Toronto – hybrid Employment Type: Full-time, 40 hours per week Salary: $55,000 to $60,000 base pay + bonus Start date: September 1, 2026 Reports To: CIO

About Us We are a professional insurance consulting firm of 20–25 people. Everyone here wears a few hats, pitches in, and knows each other by name. We're now looking for our next great teammate: a Junior IT Administrator who will keep our technology humming and grow with us over the long term. The Opportunity This is not a role where you'll be a small cog in a big IT department — you'll BE the IT department's helping hands, working closely with our CIO and a few external providers. We're looking for someone early in their IT career with a super helpful attitude and a real appetite to learn on the job. You don't need to know everything yet; you need to be curious, resourceful, and genuinely excited about all things IT. In return, we're prepared to invest real time and training dollars to grow you into a great IT professional. What You'll Do Be the friendly first point of contact for day-to-day user issues — troubleshooting hardware, software, printers, and “it's just not working” moments. Handle password resets, account setups, and access requests promptly and cheerfully. Learn and gradually take on Microsoft 365 administration — user accounts, email, Teams, Azure. Help maintain and update our website(s) alongside the team. Refresh and manage our laptop pool: imaging, setup, updates, and keeping equipment ready for the team. Dig into the web to research IT solutions, compare options, and bring back recommendations. Document fixes and how-tos so our IT knowledge grows with you. Assist with whatever else comes up — in a small firm, no two days look the same.

Who You Are (Must-Haves) • A genuine IT geek: you tinker, you read tech forums for fun, and you get a kick out of solving problems. • A super helpful, positive attitude — you actually enjoy making someone's day by fixing their issue. • Eager to learn on the job and open to feedback, training, and new challenges. • Fluent in English, with clear, friendly communication skills for non-technical colleagues. • Resourceful and self-directed: when you don't know the answer, you know how to find it. • A team player who will fit into and add to our small, close-knit culture.

What Success Looks Like • Users enjoy working with you because you're responsive, approachable, and helpful. • Technology issues are resolved quickly and professionally. • You continuously develop your technical skills and take on increasing responsibility. • You become a trusted and valued member of our team and culture What We Offer • A real investment in you: paid training, certifications, and dedicated learning time — we want to grow a great IT person, not just fill a seat. • Mentorship and room to take on more responsibility as your skills develop. • A friendly, supportive small-company culture where your contributions are visible and appreciated. • Benefits –health coverage, vacation, pension. • Salary of $55,000 to $60,000 reviewed as you grow.

Why This Role Is Different We're not looking for a finished IT professional—we're looking for someone with the right attitude, strong work ethic, curiosity, and passion for technology. If you're the type of person who enjoys helping people, loves learning new technology, and gets excited about solving computer problems, we'd love to hear from you.

How to Apply Send your resume and a link to a short YouTube video (less than 5 minutes) telling us about your favourite IT problem you've ever solved (big or small!) to info@axxima.ca. Also send a letter of reference from someone who will tell us why you are the one for Axxima.
