As an Investment Specialist, you will partner with members to build personalized savings and investment strategies that strengthen their financial confidence and support their life goals. The Investment Specialist serves members across all SASCU branch locations, ensuring members have access to specialized investment expertise and a consistent advisory experience.
What you’ll do: Provide education and advice on a range of deposit and investment products (e.g., term deposits, registered products, mutual funds, new personal and business accounts) to help members make informed financial decisions and achieve their financial goals. Manage an assigned portfolio with regular reviews and personalized contact to build trusted relationships and ensure members' financial needs continue to be met. Identify opportunities and refers members to colleagues when appropriate to ensure members receive comprehensive financial solutions that meet their evolving needs. Contribute to marketing and community outreach to grow member relationships and strengthen SASCU's presence in the communities we serve. Complete documentation and transactions related to investments and mutual funds to ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards. Provide peer coaching and back-up to Financial Advisors across SASCU’s branch network.
What you’ll bring: Two years of post-secondary education or equivalent. 6–7 years of progressive banking or financial services experience. Mutual fund sales and lending knowledge is an asset. Registered as a mutual funds representative or willing to obtain registration within six months of attaining the position. Access to reliable transportation, and willingness to travel to any SASCU related business location as required. Proven sales skills and a passion for member education and advice. Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills. Comfort with digital tools and financial systems.
