Position Overview Prica Global Enterprises Inc. (PGE) is looking for an experienced and energetic Senior Project Accountant. This position will primarily support all cost control and project controllership and reporting pertaining to Projects. The successful candidate will actively work with PGE’s Design, Engineering and Project Management teams to oversee timely tracking, monitoring and reporting, ensuring the accuracy of all financial and operational metrics relating to project performance. Support new project financial modeling and underwriting, including assumptions, sensitivity analysis, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
Primary Responsibilities: Reporting to the CFO, the key responsibilities of the Senior Project Accountant are:
Project Accounting and Controllership: Primary Accounting support contact for Design, Engineering, Project Management. Oversee transaction workflow and processing, General Ledger accuracy, and Job Cost budget vs. actuals. Lead the coordination of all requisitions, subtrade and vendor invoicing, and payments, including management of the construction lender draw process. Ongoing management and optimization of all financial processes that pertain to projects. Includes systems optimization and the development and implementation of enhanced policies and procedures
General Accounting Prepare and post various monthly journal entries (accruals, amortizations, cost re-allocations, etc.) Prepare intercompany and General Ledger to Sub-ledgers reconciliations including WIP to Job Cost details Prepare year-end journal entries and working paper files, and assist with year-end audit File monthly HST and annual T5018 returns and respond to CRA inquiries/audits as needed
Project Financing and Lender Draw Process: Work closely with the CFO to complete new construction financing applications, lender reporting and other compliance requirements. Ensure monthly invoicing and project monitoring activities coincide with the monthly construction draw process, while working closely with the project’s external cost consultant to facilitate timely funding and vendor payments.
Compliance and Reporting: Ensure project activities align with guidelines and reporting requirements for all stakeholders. Prepare regular progress reports to funders detailing project milestones and financial expenditures.
Requirements: Post-Secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or a related field CPA designation completed or near completion(required) Working knowledge of ASPE financial reporting Understanding of construction holdbacks, Ontario Lien Act, T5018 reporting, construction terminology Hands‑on month‑end close experience, including journal entries (accruals, amortization, reclasses) and supporting schedules and reconciliations Strong balance sheet ownership and account reconciliation discipline Experience in multi‑entity environments with intercompany transactions and reconciliations Exposure to external audits and tax filings (coordination with external accountants/tax advisors) Experience preparing and filing HST returns and responding to CRA inquiries/audits Proficiency with Excel (pivot tables, lookups, structured worksheets); overall strong systems literacy Experience with Yardi or similar ERP/accounting systems is an asset Ability to analyze budget‑to‑actual variances, identify anomalies, and propose corrective actions Able to translate financial information into clear, actionable insights for non‑finance stakeholders Able to adapt and change priorities at a moment’s notice in fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail with a control mindset and high accuracy Organized and efficient with strong time management and prioritization in a fast‑paced, changing environment Demonstrates ownership, accountability, and initiative across assigned areas Collaborative, team‑oriented communication style; comfortable working cross‑functionally Learning agility and curiosity to understand the business across multiple industries and entities
