About The Role

The Supply Chain Analyst at MTU Maintenance Canada Ltd. plays a vital role in managing and optimizing the company's supply chain processes. This position involves overseeing supplier contract reviews, conducting pricing checks, and providing strategic recommendations and negotiations to ensure cost-effective procurement. The analyst will perform comprehensive supply chain analysis, including risk assessments, market reviews, and financial impact evaluations. A key aspect of the role involves developing and monitoring supplier KPIs, analyzing supplier performance, and working on supplier development initiatives to enhance operational efficiency. The role requires integrating supplier contracts and terms into the supply chain and disposition teams, with a focus on both strategic and operational purchasing activities related to repair services and spare parts management. The Supply Chain Analyst will collaborate closely with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure seamless procurement, inventory management, and service delivery across global locations, including China and Germany.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be currently pursuing or have completed a Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field. A minimum of one year of experience in the supply chain domain is preferred. Candidates should possess strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective interaction with a diverse range of colleagues, executives, and external partners. The role requires a results-oriented mindset, strategic thinking capabilities, and the ability to adapt to change quickly. An interest in and basic knowledge of the aviation industry is highly desirable, along with proficiency in analyzing market trends, supplier performance, and contract management. Familiarity with inventory control, procurement processes, and financial forecasting will be advantageous.

Responsibilities

Perform internal metrics reporting on purchasing activities, including used versus new procurement, spares and services escalation impacts, rebate forecasting, and inventory levels. Manage relationships with external suppliers through provisioning conferences, forecasting, bulk purchases, inventory trades, and performance monitoring. Analyze, implement, and monitor contracts for spare parts and services, ensuring compliance and optimization. Address and escalate supplier issues, working on supplier development initiatives to improve performance and reliability. Oversee internal processes such as vendor consignments, customer stock ROP monitoring, and repair triggering. Conduct material forecasting, purchasing budget management, and update costing models to optimize procurement strategies. Collaborate with global MTU MRO locations to streamline material planning and services coordination. Support activities related to engine asset evaluation and valuation, ensuring accurate asset management. Assist buyers, material coordinators, and planners in daily operations and strategic planning. Participate in budget review meetings and contribute to operational planning and forecasting efforts. Build and maintain strong communication channels with internal teams, external suppliers, and the MTU global network to foster effective partnerships.
