The role:
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Business Transformation and Performance, the Senior Learning Partner will focus on developing new learning content to support AML, project delivery, system enhancements, and business transformation initiatives. This role will also be responsible for refreshing and maintaining current learning materials to ensure content remains accurate, relevant, and aligned to process, policy, and system changes across OneCap.
The successful candidate must be fluent in Articulate 360 and able to independently build, update, and publish learning content. They must also be a confident facilitator who can step in and deliver national training sessions, virtually or in person, with limited preparation time while maintaining a professional and engaging learner experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Employee Skill & Capability Development
-
Create and integrate learning strategies/road map aligned to support OneCap strategic and people & culture plan.

Collaborate with key leaders, key stakeholders, and subject matter experts to design and implement the right fit solutions based on transformation initiatives
-
Proactively assess the best method for delivery: learning, communications, P&P, facilitated session, leader led session focused on delivering an optimal solution given business needs, availability and change being implemented.

Design, develop content (Storyline, Canva etc), and deliver a variety of learning programs (virtual workshops, focus groups, experiential learning). Suggest vendors as appropriate to complement the program strategy.

Facilitate training sessions nationally, including virtual and in-person delivery, and be comfortable presenting to a variety of employee and leader audiences.

Optimize current learning practices, processes, tools and propose innovative resources and solutions to ensure sustainability and future proofing MOCC learning program

Collaborate with L&D and department managers to perform training needs assessments and identify skills or knowledge gaps that need to be addressed; support the creation of learning strategies and development plans as required

Design and develop career paths, as part of the Franchise Learning Program, in partnership with managers and Employee Experience teams, so that Employees can see their future options and understand the path to get there.
Business Transformation

Support leader in delivering and executing the MOCC initiatives to support operation effectiveness and sustainability
-
Support ad hoc projects and initiatives, including partnering with the dedicated Technical Writer to draft, edit, review, and post policies and procedures.
Projects/Initiatives
- Partners with key project stakeholders to identify learning requirements relevant to adoption of new skills, process and change plan
- Develop metrics and provide ongoing communications support for organizational readiness and adoption, report on post implementation benefits against key success measures
- Support leader in planning and executing all leader and employee development support materials required
Reporting / Performance Management

Own the identification of KPI for executed initiatives and report results to leaders
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

Proven ability to develop and deliver excellent creative work through strong collaboration skills and use of innovative design and production ideas and technologies

Strong facilitation and presentation skills, with the ability to confidently deliver training nationally across virtual, in-person, and blended formats.

Lead Learning and Development from a project management perspective including creating and maintaining workplans, performing quality reviews of deliverables, determining resource needs, and facilitating team building/eminence activities

Demonstrated ability to set measurements, monitor and report on the effectiveness of training and showcase the ROI to the impacted business groups

Working ability to identify change management needs and ability to apply PROSCI methodology to implementations (learning or other initiatives)

Expertise in delivering training content to employees using e-learning, virtual-led training, podcasts, video, and blended learning, facilitates instructor-led programs,

Ability to handle multiple, complex projects, including developing timelines, milestones, responsibilities, and stakeholder relationships.

Education, Designations, Training and Experience

Post-secondary degree, ideally in Business

Minimum of 7 years experience in Learning & Development or related experience

Deep understanding of adult learning theory, instructional design principles

Ability to manage multiple projects; own, lead, coach and mentor supporting team(s)

Comfort with delivering learning through various methodologies: eLearning, virtual-led training, video, Teams calls, blended learning and facilitator led in-person

Understanding of change management methodology, and ability to influence, and provide recommendations to minimize risk to business and people

Ability to gather, analyze and report on key performance indicators as well as from learning impacts

Strong ability to collaborate with key stakeholders and subject matter experts

Working knowledge of learning solutions: Articulate 360 suite, including the ability to develop and update learning content, Canva, Video software etc.
This role represents an existing vacancy. Internal candidates are being considered as part of our standard process.
Salary Range: CAD $68,800- $86,000
Compensation for this role is based on a combination of skills, experience, and internal equity. Candidates with stronger alignment to the role’s requirements may be placed higher within the range. Your recruiter will share more information about our total rewards package during the hiring process.
Office Location: Toronto or Vancouver. This is a hybrid opportunity
Meridian OneCap has a remote work policy that allows flexibility for employees to work remotely but also requires our employees to attend the office minimum one day per week.
