Senior Accountant | NextSource Materials Inc. | Toronto, ON Be part of a fast-moving Toronto finance team as a Senior Accountant. This is a role with real breadth – you’ll work across financial reporting, tax, treasury, and compliance, collaborate with international mining operations, and gain direct exposure to the full reporting cycle of a publicly listed company. What you’ll do: Reporting to the Senior Director, Finance, you'll play a key role in supporting the Company’s financial reporting and operational finance activities. Own assigned areas of month-end close – GL reconciliations, accounting estimates and journal entries, and financial statement preparation in accordance with IFRS Support quarterly and annual financial reporting for a TSX-listed company Provide external audit support and liaise with auditors directly Assist with tax compliance, working alongside external tax advisors across multiple jurisdictions Support treasury functions including cash flow forecasting and banking relationships Collaborate with international operations teams across time zones Contribute to ongoing process improvement
What you must bring to the role: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance Progressive experience in a financial reporting or accounting role Experience preparing financial statements or supporting financial reporting deliverables in accordance with IFRS. Experience supporting month-end close, including general ledger reconciliations and journal entries Advanced experience in Excel
What would help you succeed in the role: CPA designation or progress towards a CPA designation Proven ability to take initiative and independently drive complex projects to completion Demonstrated experience leveraging automation and process improvements to enhance financial workflows Experience supporting financial reporting for a publicly listed company Experience in mining, manufacturing, industrial or other complex operating environments. Candidates transitioning from external audit are also encouraged to apply Experience with ERP systems (Pronto experience is an asset) Proficient in French

NextSource Materials Inc. is a battery materials development company based in Toronto, Canada that is intent on becoming a vertically integrated global supplier of battery materials through the mining and value-added processing of graphite and other minerals.
The Company’s Molo graphite project in Madagascar is one of the largest known and highest-quality graphite resources globally, and the only one with SuperFlake® graphite. The Molo mine has begun production, with Phase 1 mine operations currently being optimized to reach its nameplate production capacity of 17,000 tpa of graphite concentrate.
The Company is also developing a significant downstream graphite value-add business through the staged rollout of Battery Anode Facilities capable of large-scale production of coated, spheronized and purified graphite for direct delivery to battery and automotive customers, outside of existing Asian supply chains, in a fully transparent and traceable manner. The first of its Battery Anode Facilities will be located in Mauritius with initial production targeted in Q3 2024.
