Position Summary – Manager Hufton Valvano Grover Philipp LLP (HVGP) is seeking an experienced Manager to join our team. This role will primarily focus on assurance and compilation engagements, as well as corporate and personal income tax returns. As a Manager, you will be responsible for managing engagements, assisting partners in analyzing client needs, and providing strategic advice. Additionally, you will mentor junior team members and help guide their professional development. Key Responsibilities Independently manage and supervise larger field and office assignments Deliver completed assignments to partners for review in a timely manner Identify, research, and resolve accounting, audit, and tax issues Oversee engagement budgets, work-in-progress analysis, and billing Lead year-end engagement planning processes Cultivate strong relationships with clients and maintain a sense of responsibility toward their needs Serve as the primary client contact, engaging with the appropriate stakeholders Review and present financial statements to clients for smaller engagements independently, and alongside partners for larger engagements Respond to client emails and phone calls promptly and professionally

Education, Skills, and Knowledge University degree and CPA, CA designation with a minimum of 5+ years of experience in a CPA firm (including audit and tax experience), with demonstrated proficiency in leading and reviewing working paper files Extensive experience with Canadian corporate, personal, and trust taxation Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines effectively Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on client service Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team environment We look forward to welcoming a motivated and professional Manager to our team!
