IT Audit Manager About the Role We are seeking a highly analytical, hands-on IT Audit Manager to lead the execution and continuous improvement of our IT Internal Audit and SOX Compliance Program. This is a high-impact role offering significant visibility across the organization, where you will partner with business and technology leaders to strengthen the internal control environment while supporting a rapidly growing business through acquisitions. The ideal candidate combines deep technical IT audit expertise with strong project management, leadership, and stakeholder management skills. Key Responsibilities Lead the annual IT SOX risk assessment and scoping process, mapping material financial accounts to supporting applications, infrastructure, databases, and key IT processes. Plan, manage, and execute IT General Controls (ITGC) audits, including design and operating effectiveness testing across ERP, financial, HRIS, and other critical business systems. Evaluate IT controls related to logical access, change management, computer operations, backup and recovery, interfaces, and automated application controls. Identify control deficiencies, prepare audit findings, and collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to develop practical remediation plans. Monitor remediation activities and validate the effectiveness of corrective actions. Serve as the primary liaison with external auditors, ensuring efficient coordination, timely evidence delivery, and alignment on audit scope and testing methodologies. Support mergers and acquisitions by performing IT control assessments, identifying integration risks, and driving control harmonization across newly acquired entities. Partner with cross-functional teams to strengthen governance, improve compliance, and promote best practices in IT risk management. Provide leadership, coaching, and guidance to junior audit team members while fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Information Systems, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related discipline. 5–7+ years of progressive IT audit experience, including leadership or management responsibilities. Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) designation is required. Strong experience auditing enterprise ERP environments and their supporting operating systems and databases. In-depth knowledge of SOX Section 404, COBIT, NIST, IT General Controls (ITGCs), and PCAOB auditing standards. Proven experience working with internal and external auditors in a SOX-regulated environment. Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence across all levels of the organization. Preferred Qualifications Professional certifications such as CPA, CIA, CISSP, or CISM. Previous experience with a Big Four or mid-tier public accounting/advisory firm. Experience supporting complex, multi-entity organizations and post-acquisition integrations. Exposure to cloud environments, cybersecurity controls, and modern ERP platforms is considered an asset.
