What You’ll Do
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Branch Administrator to support the day-to-day operations of our plant. This role is ideal for a proactive problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working cross-functionally, and takes pride in keeping operations running smoothly.
The Branch Administrator plays a critical role in ensuring administrative, financial, and operational processes are executed efficiently while supporting both branch and corporate initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Administrative & Operational Support
- Provide support for branch systems (phones, printers, SAP, HRIS/ADP Workforce Now), including basic troubleshooting, updates, and user support
- Manage office supply procurement and coordinate day-to-day administrative needs
- Maintain accurate branch records and ensure data integrity across systems
- Support vendor portal management (e.g., Fastenal, FedEx, UPS), including invoice and contract review
Finance & Reporting
- Process accounts payable and receivable, including coding, approvals, deposits, and reconciliations
- Create, track, and manage purchase orders (POs) and ensure timely follow-up
- Manage customer invoicing, including preparation, issuance, and reconciliation
- Assist with inventory reporting, month-end procedures, and financial reporting requirements
- Prepare regular reports (sales, freight, accruals, and branch financials)
- Partner with Finance to ensure accurate reconciliations and reporting
- Support internal and external audits by compiling required documentation
HR & Culture Support
- Coordinate HR administrative activities and assist with employee engagement initiatives and branch events
- Support training coordination and help facilitate learning opportunities for employees
- Contribute to maintaining a positive workplace culture aligned with Metrie’s values
Safety & Compliance
- Participate in site safety initiatives, including meetings and engagement activities
- Support implementation and standardization of safety programs
- Track and report safety KPIs and metrics in alignment with EHS principles
What You Bring
- 3–5 years of administrative experience in a fast-paced, office or plant environment
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Demonstrated professionalism, sound judgment and a solutions‑focused approach when navigating challenges, resolving issues and supporting team or operational needs
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
- A customer-focused mindset when working with internal and external stakeholders
- Strong interest in contributing to the site’s safety culture
- Previous experience participating in site safety initiatives and standardization of safety programs preferred
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), OneDrive, and SharePoint
- Experience with ADP Workforce Now; SAP experience is an asset
- Strong data management, reporting, and spreadsheet skills
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- A strong understanding of confidentiality and data security practices
