About the role

Our client is a well-established Quebec-based company, recognized for the quality of its operations, its stability, and its performance-driven approach. As part of its growth, the company is seeking a Financial Controller (CPA) who will act as a strategic partner to management by overseeing financial management, cost control, financing, as well as the identification and monitoring of grants and government funding programs.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all accounting and financial activities while ensuring the accuracy of financial statements and period-end closing.
- Lead budgeting, financial analysis, forecasting, and cash flow management.
- Ensure compliance with tax, regulatory, and applicable accounting standards.
- Implement effective internal controls, coordinate audits, and manage relationships with financial institutions.
- Supervise the accounting team and act as a business partner to management to support growth and strategic decision-making.
- Identify and coordinate opportunities related to grants, tax credits, and government assistance programs.

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- CPA designation required or in progress.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
Profile:
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple files simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
Salary: $120,000 to $140,000 per year.
Schedule: Day shift.
Status: Permanent.
