The location in Montreal, (Quebec, Canada), is seeking talent to fill the position of Manager, Canadian Tax. This job is full-time permanent. Overview: We’re hiring a Manager, Canadian Tax to join our in-house tax team. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Canadian Tax, you’ll play a key role in tax compliance, provision, and audit management in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Your challenges:
Oversee the preparation and review of corporate income tax returns and related compliance obligations to ensure accuracy and timeliness. Manage quarterly and annual tax provisions, including analysis of current and deferred taxes and supporting documentation. Lead and manage tax audits with the Canada Revenue Agency and Revenue Québec, including coordinating responses and assessing potential exposures. Provide technical tax guidance and support on business initiatives, transactions, and operational matters. Identify and implement opportunities to enhance processes, controls, and efficiencies, including the use of data, automation, and technology tools. Collaborate with finance, accounting, and other business teams to ensure alignment on tax-related matters.
Your skills:
Strong team player with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a high level of attention to detail. Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet tight deadlines. Clear and proactive communicator, with the ability to explain tax concepts to non-tax stakeholders. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple deliverables simultaneously.
Your profile:
CPA designation. Master’s in Taxation or In-Depth Tax Course (completed or in progress), or equivalent, considered an asset. Minimum 7 years of Canadian corporate tax experience. Bilingual French and English*. Advanced Excel skills, including working with large datasets and analysis. Knowledge of SAP or similar ERP systems, an asset. What we are offering
