About the role

A career as a Senior Analyst in Model Governance within the Capital and Risk Management team at National Bank means acting as a specialist in model oversight and governance. Through your critical thinking, experience in financial modeling and risk management, as well as your knowledge of IRRBB and stress testing, you have a positive impact on the robustness of strategic decision-making, regulatory compliance, and the quality of the risk management framework. Your role Prepare documentation and analyses for model governance and approval committees Coordinate the approval process and monitor decisions and action items Develop and enhance models used in stress testing exercises Contribute to the execution of stress tests (MST, EWST, ad hoc) and analyze results Ensure models comply with internal standards and regulatory requirements Support teams in adopting best practices in model governance Identify opportunities to improve the governance framework and modeling processes Your team Within the Treasury and Capital Planning sector, you are part of a team of model governance experts and report to a Director in Capital Planning. The team is at the core of strategic decision-making processes and works closely with Risk, Finance, and Treasury teams. Our team stands out for its analytical rigor, its key role in coordinating capital and model committees, and its ability to provide a clear and structured view of complex issues related to models and stress testing. It plays a central role in overseeing processes, including committee preparation and follow-up on key decisions. Prerequisites Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Audit, or a related field Experience in financial modeling or risk management (IRRBB, ALM, or capital) Experience in stress testing or scenario analysis Knowledge of model governance frameworks and regulatory requirements Proficiency with analytical tools (advanced Excel, programming – an asset) Ability to prepare and present materials for management committees Languages: French Required skills: Analytical Skills, Cash, Communication, Continuous Improvement, Financial Modeling, Governance, Initiative, Microsoft Excel, Presentations, Regulations, Risk Management, Scenario Testing, Stress Testing, Teamwork, Templates
