Title - Accountant / Controller Location - Boucherville, QC Hybrid – Possible after an initial onsite period. Duration: Full-time Role Interview – In-person
Responsibilities Manage the full accounting cycle. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Produce management reports and financial analyses for leadership. Participate in budget preparation and variance analysis. Monitor cash flow and prepare liquidity forecasts. Oversee accounts receivable, collection activities, and cash collection optimization. Review and approve accounts payable. Supervise payroll processing, group insurance administration, and the group RRSP program. Perform bank reconciliations and ensure the accuracy of financial data. Prepare government remittances and various regulatory filings. Collaborate with external accountants and auditors in the preparation of annual financial statements. Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial and administrative processes. Supervise and support the Administrative Assistant with bookkeeping activities. Participate in strategic discussions and support the company's growth initiatives.
Excellent fit for: Senior Accounting Technicians seeking to transition into a Controller role; Junior Controllers; Professionals with approximately three years of experience in a public accounting firm. Experience in the construction or fire protection industry is an asset. Knowledge of Sage 50 is an asset. Advanced proficiency in Excel.
