This Treasury Analyst role with Fraser Health is focused on revenue analysis, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and revenue optimization. The successful candidate would be expected to combine strong financial analysis skills with the ability to support operational leaders and drive process improvements. Key Responsibilities Analyze and monitor revenue performance against budgets, forecasts, and industry best practices. Prepare financial reports, briefing notes, variance analyses, and recommendations for leadership. Support the development of annual revenue budgets using historical trends and forecasting methodologies. Partner with clients to identify and implement revenue optimization opportunities. Provide revenue information for Fraser Health financial statements and explain significant variances. Develop and implement new reporting tools, processes, procedures, and educational resources. Deliver training and act as a subject matter expert for revenue-related matters. Are you passionate about joining our team? Detailed Overview

Supporting the Vision, Values, Purpose and Commitments of Fraser Health including service delivery that is centered around patients/clients/residents and families: The Analyst, Treasury, oversees the revenue managed by the Treasury Department for Fraser Health (FH); responsible for providing revenue optimization advisory services to assigned client's; reviews and analyzes actual revenues generated in comparison to budgeted revenues; assesses opportunities to optimize revenue and makes recommendations on strategies for improvement; supervises and provides work direction to designated staff.

Responsibilities

Reviews and analyzes assigned client's financial revenue information. Assesses revenue performance in relation to budget and best practice. Provides reports and briefing documents of assessment results and makes recommendations on appropriate courses of action to the Manager and/or clients for implementing corrections or improvements. Makes recommendations for the preparation of the annual revenue budget based on historical data. Provides trend and variance analysis, and forecasts revenue in collaboration with Fraser Health Financial Planning. Works with and supports assigned clients in the identification, development and implementation of revenue optimization strategies. Responsible for providing revenue data for FH's financial statements for review by and distribution to FH Executive and Board. Analyzes data and provides justifications for variances. Develops, implements and coordinates new programs and/or tools that streamline processes and reporting. Develops and implements associated procedures, guidelines and educational material. Monitors and reports on implementation progress and identifies risk mitigation strategies. Acts as a resource to assigned clients by preparing and presenting educational sessions and supporting material. Supervises designated staff, evaluates staff development needs, and determines training and orientation requirements. Recruits staffs, conducts interviews, evaluates employee performance and participates in related human resource matters such as disciplinary meetings or employee terminations, as required. Ensures efficient department operations by coordinating and organizing daily workflow. Prioritizes and establishes work schedules. Coordinates and checks work assignments. Reviews and verifies work, and identifies errors. Develops training modules and user manuals for staff. Provides staff training at various sites to ensure consistent execution of programs according to established standards and procedures. Implements approved departmental processes and standards through methods such as communicating information to staff, and providing guidance and direction to staff on issues related to processes and standards. Assists staff in reconciling problem patient and client accounts. Acts as a liaison between the Manager and the staff by troubleshooting problems and communicating complex issues to the Manager should further action be required. Assists with the preparation Ministry of Health reports. Maintains confidentiality of customer's personal information as established and in compliance with applicable legislative requirements and organization policies.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

CPA professional accounting designation and/or university degree in Commerce, Business, Finance or Health Administration. Minimum five (5) years' recent related financial/management accounting experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
