About The Role

We are actively seeking a meticulous and dependable Senior Financial Analyst to join our finance team based in Montreal. This pivotal role involves supporting our financial planning, analysis, and reporting functions. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of accounting principles and a passion for delivering precise and insightful financial data. You will be responsible for preparing management reports, budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses to guide strategic decision-making processes. Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related discipline. A minimum of three to five years of relevant experience in financial analysis and accounting is essential. Proficiency with accounting ERP systems such as NetSuite, Business Central, or QuickBooks, along with strong skills in reporting tools, is required. Candidates should demonstrate advanced expertise in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications. Familiarity with Quebec and Canadian tax regulations, including GST/QST, DAS, CNESST, and others, is highly preferred. The ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while meeting deadlines is critical. Strong analytical skills, accuracy, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities in both French and English are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

Prepare comprehensive month-end financial statements that accurately reflect the company’s financial position. Perform journal entries to ensure proper financial record-keeping and compliance. Handle tax remittances, including GST/QST, DAS, CNESST, and other applicable taxes, ensuring timely submissions. Manage payroll processes and perform balance sheet reconciliations to maintain financial integrity. Analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost optimization. Conduct variance analysis comparing actual results against budgeted targets to inform management decisions. Develop and maintain dashboards, KPIs, and financial models to monitor business performance effectively. Perform profitability, cost, and operational performance analyses to support strategic initiatives. Prepare ad hoc reports and detailed analyses tailored to management needs. Collaborate closely with accounting, finance, and operational teams to ensure data accuracy and consistency. Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial processes, policies, and controls. Ensure compliance with all provincial and federal financial regulations and standards. Support the year-end audit process by preparing necessary documentation and liaising with external auditors.
