About the role

Overview: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Senior Tax Analyst to join our client's growing tax team. This role is ideal for a CPA-designated or CPA-track professional who enjoys working in a collaborative client-focused environment and wants exposure to a diverse portfolio of Canadian private companies, owner-managed businesses, and high-net-worth individuals.

The successful candidate will support tax compliance, tax planning, research, and advisory engagements across corporate, personal, and trust taxation matters.

Total base salary is dependent on experience and pays up to $110k. The firm also fully supports career growth and development through career advancement opportunities.

Responsibilities: Prepare and review personal, corporate, trust and partnership tax returns. Apply specialized knowledge to anticipate, identify, and address tax issues relevant to the client’s business. Assist with tax provisions and year-end tax reporting requirements. Ensure compliance with CRA regulations and filing deadlines. Support managers and partners with corporate reorganizations, estate and succession planning and owner-manager tax strategies Conduct tax research and prepare client memos and recommendations. Liaise with Canada Revenue Agency and relevant provincial ministries on client issues. Build positive working relationships with clients and provide effective support for engagements. Identify tax-saving opportunities and planning initiatives for clients. Contribute to process improvements and knowledge sharing initiatives.

Skills and experiences: CPA designation in progress or completed. 3-5 years of Canadian tax experience in public accounting. Strong understanding of Canadian income tax fundamentals. Experience preparing and reviewing tax returns and supporting tax planning engagements Proficiency with tax software such as TaxPrep, CaseWare, or CCH products. Strong technical research and client communication skills. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills Ability to manage multiple engagements and deadlines independently.
