Are you a hands‑on Financial Controller looking for a role with real ownership across multiple European entities? An international industrial group is looking for a finance professional to take charge of both financial controlling and operational accounting for its entities in Denmark and Poland. You will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and high‑quality accounting execution within a lean, fast‑moving environment.

Role Overview You are responsible for the full accounting cycle, financial reporting, and financial controlling activities for the Danish and Polish entities. Your scope combines operational execution with analytical oversight, working closely with the Finance Director Europe and cross‑functional teams.

1. Accounting & Month-End Close Full ownership of the General Ledger for Denmark & Poland Prepare and post journal entries (accruals, payroll, intercompany, adjustments) Perform bank reconciliations and account analyses Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities Ensure accuracy of trial balances and financial statements

2. Financial Controlling & Reporting Prepare and deliver Group reporting under US GAAP Produce P&L and balance sheet analyses with variance explanations Support budgeting and forecasting cycles Act as key contact for internal and external auditors

3. Compliance & Internal Controls Ensure compliance with group policies, US GAAP, and local statutory requirements with the help of local accounting practices Strengthen internal controls and maintain proper documentation Monitor key controls, including segregation of duties

4. Treasury & Intercompany Monitor liquidity and cash flows Manage intercompany reconciliations and settlements Contribute to working capital improvement initiatives

5. Processes & Systems Identify and implement process improvements Support ERP enhancements (Sage X3) and reporting tools Contribute to standardization across European entities

Scope & Reporting Countries: Denmark & Poland Reports to: Finance Director Europe Key interfaces: Corporate Accounting, Controlling, AP/AR, HR (payroll), Tax, local teams

Candidate Profile Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 5–10 years of experience in accounting and/or financial controlling Strong hands‑on GL experience (cash, payroll, reconciliations, close) Knowledge of US GAAP Experience in multi‑entity and international environments Background in manufacturing is a strong asset ERP experience (Sage X3 is a plus) Fluency in English is a must Knowledge of French, Polish, Danish or other European languages are nice to have
