Our client is a respected and growing non-profit organization serving the Tri-Cities region, with an ambitious vision to significantly expand its impact over the next several years. As the organization prepares to double in size, it is seeking a strategic and collaborative Vice President of Finance to join its executive leadership team and help shape the next phase of its growth.

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the Vice President of Finance will serve as a trusted business partner, providing strategic financial leadership while overseeing all aspects of the organization's finance function. This individual will play a critical role in driving financial sustainability, strengthening governance, enhancing operational performance, and ensuring the organization has the financial infrastructure needed to support continued expansion.

Responsibilities Financial Management & Operations: Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, budgeting, and cash flow management. Develop and maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal controls. Oversee transactions & Financial Administration: Ensure accurate and timely processing of payables, receivables, payroll, and reconciliations. Maintain complete and organized financial records and documentation. Grants & Contract Administration: Manage financial reporting and compliance for grant-funded programs and contracts. Monitor budgets and expenditures to ensure alignment with funding requirements. Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare timely financial statements, reports, and variance analyses. Provide insights and recommendations to support decision-making. Compliance & Audit: Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and funding agreements. Lead and Support audit processes and liaise with external auditors.

Qualifications 5–10+ years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, including senior financial leadership responsibilities. CPA designation required and MBA preferred Previous experience in not-for-profit or government funded environments is strongly preferred. Experience with administering grants, contribution agreements, restricted funds and contracts, including financial reporting to funders and compliance with agreement terms xperience with accounting systems and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Experience preparing financial statements and supporting audts. Proficient with accounting software and systems including Quickbooks and Ceridian PowerPlay Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong analytical skills and attention to details. Occasional regional travel may be required.
