Our employment opportunity of the moment: Senior Financial Analyst Location: Ottawa, Canada (Hybrid Mode*) Take a minute to see if your profile fits IDRC: You have: A University degree in Commerce or Accounting, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience. Working towards a CPA accounting designation is considered an asset. Proficiency in French and English (reading, writing and speaking) A minimum of (5) years of relevant experience in treasury, cash management, financial analysis, banking operations financial reporting or similar roles Experience applying independent judgment and accountability in critical financial processes and strong knowledge of data control principles, advanced Excel skills with a strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). Experience analyzing large volumes of complex financial data, translating findings into practical recommendations and identifying unusual transactions, or potential fraud indicators. You are interested in: Preparing accurate financial statements, notes disclosures, and internal and external reporting. Preparing journal vouchers and supporting documentation. Conducting complex analyses and reconciliations for various accounts. Preparing and maintaining short- and long-term cash flow forecasts, analyzing variances, assessing liquidity requirements, and supporting investment decisions. Working with financial institutions to resolve complex payment issues and support strong financial controls. Supporting the corporate credit card program and related process enhancements.
