About the role

Main Functions

Reporting to the Controller, the Accounting Technician will support day-to-day accounting activities, with direct involvement in month-end processes and ensuring accuracy of financial data.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the full accounts payable cycle Review, code, and validate invoices, ensuring proper approval workflows Perform bank reconciliations Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate variances Support month-end close activities (journal entries, adjustments, follow-ups) Monitor and reconcile intercompany transactions and balances Perform ad hoc analyses to support the team Support internal control processes

Requirements

Experience with full-cycle accounts payable Experience with bank reconciliations and GL account reconciliations Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, etc.) Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in an industrial environment Diploma in Accounting (DEC or equivalent) Fluency in French and professional working proficiency in English

Technical skills

An asset

Experience in multi-entity environments Experience with AI-assisted tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot) Exposure to data analysis or automation tools (Power Query, Power BI)
