This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Risk Quality Specialist (Sales) based in Canada. The Risk Quality Specialist (Sales) plays a key role in strengthening operational excellence by independently reviewing sales transactions and customer files to ensure compliance with quality, regulatory, and risk standards. This role combines auditing expertise, analytical thinking, and coaching capabilities to identify opportunities for improvement and support stronger business outcomes. Working closely with operational teams, risk partners, and frontline professionals, you will help promote a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement. You will leverage data-driven insights to detect risks, improve processes, and enhance customer experiences. Accountabilities: The Risk Quality Specialist (Sales) is responsible for conducting objective audits, identifying improvement opportunities, and providing actionable recommendations that strengthen quality and compliance practices. The role requires strong judgment, analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams. Conduct independent quality audits of new business transactions, support activities, and operational processes using established audit methodologies and evaluation criteria. Review documentation, customer files, and policy records to assess compliance with internal procedures, regulatory requirements, risk frameworks, and quality standards. Identify conduct risks, control gaps, process weaknesses, and compliance concerns, escalating significant findings through appropriate governance channels. Provide clear, evidence-based feedback and recommendations to frontline teams and leaders based on audit results. Support coaching initiatives by identifying performance improvement opportunities and helping teams understand quality expectations and compliance requirements. Maintain accurate audit records, documentation, and reporting materials to ensure traceability and governance standards are met. Deliver insights that support business decisions, continuous improvement initiatives, and process optimization efforts. Collaborate with operational leaders, compliance teams, risk partners, and business stakeholders to strengthen quality awareness and risk management practices. Contribute to the development and improvement of audit tools, evaluation frameworks, and quality standards. Participate in calibration sessions to ensure consistency, fairness, and alignment across quality reviews. Requirements: The ideal candidate brings experience in quality assurance, auditing, compliance, or risk management within a regulated sales or service environment. They demonstrate strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, and the communication skills required to influence stakeholders and support continuous improvement. Demonstrated experience in quality assurance, auditing, compliance, or risk oversight, preferably within insurance operations or another regulated industry. Experience independently reviewing transactions, customer files, or operational processes using defined quality criteria. Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends, control weaknesses, and emerging risks, then translate findings into actionable recommendations. Experience providing constructive coaching and performance feedback to employees, agents, or business teams. Good understanding of risk management principles, compliance expectations, and quality control practices. Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple teams and influence positive outcomes. Excellent attention to detail, organization, and accuracy when managing audits, documentation, and reporting. Knowledge of audit methodologies, quality assurance techniques, and the ability to interpret policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Proficiency with data analysis and reporting tools, including Excel and Power BI. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and adapt in a changing environment.
