We’re seeking someone to join our team as a Java and Full Stack Team Leader to help drive the evolution of high-impact finance and treasury platforms while leading the delivery of innovative, scalable technology solutions across a global organization. In the Technology division, we leverage innovation to build the connections and capabilities that power our Firm, enabling our clients and colleagues to redefine markets and shape the future of our communities. This is a Principal Software Engineering position at Vice President level, which is part of the job family responsible for designing, developing, testing, deploying and maintaining software solutions and technology platforms. What you'll do in the role Lead the design, development and delivery of strategic Finance and Treasury technology platforms. Develop scalable, secure and maintainable software solutions using Java and modern full stack technologies. Collaborate with business stakeholders and global technology teams to translate requirements into technology solutions. Contribute to architecture decisions and the continuous evolution of distributed platforms and applications. Build and support client-facing applications in a fast-paced Agile environment. Drive engineering excellence through testing, performance optimization and secure development practices. Support cloud adoption initiatives and modernization of existing technology platforms. Mentor developers and contribute to the growth of engineering talent within the team. Design and develop applications leveraging Angular, TypeScript, ReactJS, Java and DB2 technologies. Contribute to data processing and analytics solutions utilizing Spark, Databricks, Snowflake and Power BI. Support event-driven architectures, messaging frameworks and distributed computing technologies. What you'll bring to the role Strong experience in software development with Core Java, object-oriented design and Spring frameworks. Experience developing modern user interfaces using Angular, TypeScript and/or React. Knowledge of API development, integration patterns and messaging technologies. Understanding of event-driven architectures and distributed systems design. Experience with SQL programming, data aggregation, caching technologies and relational databases. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices and Agile software delivery methodologies. Experience troubleshooting complex applications, including performance and scalability issues. Proficiency with source control systems such as Git and issue tracking tools such as JIRA. Ability to collaborate effectively across global teams and communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Familiarity with cloud environments and enterprise-scale application deployments. Exposure to testing automation frameworks and software quality practices. Experience with technologies such as Spark, Databricks, Snowflake, Redis, ActiveMQ, Tableau, Cognos, TM1 and Power BI is an asset.
