The expected base salary range for this position is $70/Hr - $74/Hr, depending on experience, skills, and internal equity. Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst / Project Manager (BA/PM) to support our Canada Bonds & Rates Technology team. The team is expanding to approximately 16 developers and requires an additional BA/PM to help drive project execution, business analysis, stakeholder collaboration, and delivery across capital markets initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess strong capital markets expertise, excellent analytical and communication skills, and experience working in Agile delivery environments.
Key Responsibilities: Partner with business stakeholders, technology teams, and vendors to gather, analyze, and document business requirements. Support the delivery of technology initiatives across Bonds, Rates, Credit, and Mortgage products. Translate business requirements into functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria. Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, PI Planning, and retrospectives. Perform data analysis and validation using SQL to ensure solution accuracy and quality. Coordinate project activities, track deliverables, manage dependencies, and ensure timely execution. Support trade lifecycle processes and integrations with internal and external vendor platforms. Prepare business, functional, and technical documentation, including process flows and testing artifacts. Collaborate with Risk, Finance, Operations, and Technology teams to support valuation, PnL, and risk-related initiatives. Assist with audit requests, controls testing, evidence preparation, and regulatory documentation. Leverage productivity AI tools such as MS Copilot and ChatGPT to improve documentation, analysis, and day-to-day workflow efficiency.
Required Qualifications: Strong knowledge of capital markets with experience across Bonds, Rates, Credit, and Mortgages. Experience working in Agile environments; exposure to PI Planning is preferred. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in SQL for data validation and analysis. Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and deliver high-quality work within deadlines. Experience working with vendor platforms and trade lifecycle processes. Excellent documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Solid understanding of PnL, risk measures, and valuation concepts. Experience supporting audits, controls, and evidence preparation. Proficiency with productivity AI tools such as MS Copilot and ChatGPT.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with capital markets platforms such as Bloomberg TOMS, Broadridge, MHUB, or similar trading and post-trade systems. Experience with TMX, CCMS, CDS, FMCNET, or related market infrastructure platforms. Python or scripting experience for data analysis and process automation. Familiarity with regulatory and risk frameworks such as FRTB, SA-CCR, IFRS 9/CECL, or mortgage analytics. Professional certifications such as CFA, FRM, SAFe, CSM, or PSM are considered an asset.
Preferred Candidate Profile: The successful candidate is a self-motivated, detail-oriented professional with strong business analysis and project management capabilities.
