About the role
About Us We are a development and construction company seeking a full-time Project Accountant/Bookkeeper to assume responsibility for full cycle accounting and financial reporting requirements. This is a key position within our organization and requires a highly experienced professional.
Responsibilities
- Manage full cycle accounting and financial reporting for assigned projects using Quickbooks
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports
- Monitor budgets, forecasts, and project costs for accuracy and compliance
- Process accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll as required
- Reconcile accounts and maintain accurate records in QuickBooks Online
- Prepare monthly documentation for bank advances on various on-going construction projects
- Provide financial insight and support to project managers and leadership
Qualifications
- Minimum 5?7 years of experience in project accounting (construction/development industry experience considered an asset)
- Proficient in QuickBooks Online, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, budgeting, and cost controls
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- This is not a training position
