Role: Business / Product Analyst (Sell-Side) Location: Canada (100% remote role) Job Type: Contract

Role Overview We are seeking a Business / Product Analyst (Sell-Side) responsible for supporting the analysis and execution of product initiatives for a Digital Integration Hub platform, a centralized integration solution supporting Trading and Asset Services. The role will focus on supporting product vision and strategy, gathering business requirements, defining product enhancements, and ensuring successful delivery through close collaboration with engineering, sales, professional services, marketing, and support teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong combination of business and technical expertise, with experience understanding market challenges, defining innovative solutions, and working with cross-functional teams to deliver product capabilities.

Key Responsibilities Ensure product initiatives align with overall business strategy and goals. Translate strategic business objectives into actionable product development initiatives. Break down product initiatives into manageable work items for development teams. Collaborate with Product Managers, Product Owners, Software Engineers, Quality Assurance teams, and Scrum Masters. Deliver capabilities that increase adoption of product integrations. Define clear requirements, direction, and success criteria for development teams. Prepare detailed business requirement documents, functional specifications, and user interface guides. Manage the scope and maintenance of standard integration connectors. Build relationships with stakeholders and validate product enhancements based on business feedback. Engage stakeholders and facilitate effective decision-making. Stay current with industry trends and market developments. Identify, research, and validate new product features. Develop subject matter expertise in assigned areas. Collaborate with stakeholders on roadmap definition for specific client segments. Support product owners in prioritizing product and release backlogs. Assist with product documentation, training materials, and release notes. Gather, document, validate, and prioritize new product requirements. Provide regular status updates on product development initiatives. Perform additional responsibilities as required.

Required Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience. Ability to explain the roles of key sell-side participants, including brokers, dealers, prime services, and retail clients. Strong understanding of trading and investment lifecycle processes, including corporate actions. Broad knowledge of major asset classes across listed and OTC markets, including: Derivatives Private equity Private debt Understanding of trading styles and settlement methods, including: Delivery versus payment (DVP) Free of cash transfers Repos Securities finance Collateral management Experience with integration solution software products is highly preferred. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; Visio experience is a plus. Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously. Strong time management and prioritization skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to analyze and document complex business processes.

Preferred Qualifications High-level understanding of Investment Book of Record (IBOR) concepts and general ledger principles. Familiarity with compliance requirements within trading and investment operations. Exposure to regulatory reporting obligations relevant to financial markets.
