POSITION OVERVIEW Our Finance team is seeking a skilled and experienced Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in corporate accounting principles and practices, with a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and compliance. This role involves managing financial transactions, preparing financial reports, analyzing financial data, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Prepare monthly accruals and journal entries for completion of the monthly close. Provide detailed analysis and reconciliation of accounts. Explain variances between actual results and budget to help executive management understand trends impacting the business. Act as a backfill for key administrative functions (client billings, customer claims and vendor payments) as required. Support the external auditors in completion of the year-end audit. Support the annual budgeting process. Assist with special projects and perform additional duties as required.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED Bachelor’s degree in accounting/business with at least 2 years’ experience in accounting/finance. Enrollment in CPA designation program considered an asset. Experience with month-end closing. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel; strong understanding of accounting systems. Individual must be detail orientated, have a high level of accuracy and be dependable. Excellent organization and time management skills when dealing with changing priorities. Ability to work independently and multi-task. Excellent business judgment and analytical skills. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
