We have an existing opening for a Claims Adjuster Trainee to join our team in Whitehorse, Yukon. About the Role This is a field-based position supporting claim investigations throughout Whitehorse and surrounding Yukon communities. While much of your administrative work can be completed remotely, you will also spend time visiting claim sites, meeting with policyholders, contractors, and other stakeholders. Yukon offers an exciting and unique claims environment. Because of the geographic size of the territory, travel is an important part of the role. Some claim inspections may require extended highway driving and occasional overnight stays. As part of your onboarding experience, you'll receive dedicated virtual training and mentorship from experienced claims professionals based in Alberta, ensuring you have the support and guidance needed to succeed from day one. What You'll Do Investigate and manage a variety of insurance claims Review policy coverages, conditions, limitations, and warranties Collect and evaluate information to support claim decisions Conduct site visits and inspections as required Prepare reports, documentation, and required claim forms Manage claim files in accordance with company service standards and performance expectations Maintain accurate reserves, payments, and file financials Deliver exceptional customer service to policyholders and stakeholders Collaborate with internal teams while managing files independently Utilize ClaimsPro's industry-leading digital claims platform What Makes You Successful We're looking for someone who is: A strong communicator, both verbally and in writing Comfortable working independently and taking initiative Analytical and able to problem-solve effectively Customer-focused and professional Adaptable in a fast-paced environment Comfortable using technology and learning new systems Preferred Qualifications Experience in construction, contracting, restoration, building trades, or a related field is considered a strong asset Ability to obtain an Adjuster's License Demonstrated attention to detail and organizational skills Strong follow-up and time management abilities Proven ability to prioritize competing demands Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer applications Valid driver's license Must currently reside in Whitehorse or the surrounding area We welcome and encourage applications from people with disabilities.
