About the Opportunity Lead and support a small accounting team, ensuring accurate and timely financial processes. Monitor month-end close and escalate delays or issues. Review and post accounting entries, reconciliations, prepaids, fixed assets, and intercompany transfers, including complex accounts. Prepare budgets, forecasts, financial reports, audit schedules, and ad hoc analyses. Coordinate external audits, respond to auditor requests, and review required documentation. Analyze and resolve financial system discrepancies and reporting issues. Maintain accounting templates, procedures, controls, and process improvements. Support staff and volunteers with finance-related inquiries and guidance. Collaborate with departments and external IT partners to ensure effective financial processes and system accuracy. Ensure compliance with organizational policies, including equity, inclusivity, and customer service standards. Provide ongoing administrative support and complete additional duties as assigned
About You: Minimum 4 years of finance experience, specifically reporting, assisting with budgets and audits. Must have some experience with leading/supervising a team. CPA in progress is a must; CPA designated is highly preferred. High proficiency with MS Excel. Post-secondary in business, finance, accounting, or related is required.
