About the role

Number of positions: One

Duty station: Yangon with frequent field travels

Responsible to: Chief Research Officer

Organization Background Inya Economics, a research organization, was founded in 2017. It is designed for economic policy discussion and economics research which are envisioned to the economic interest group.

Duties And Responsibilities

Carrying out quantitative data analysis of existing secondary data sets and primary quantitative data – Organizing, designing, collection and carrying out qualitative fieldwork in project areas – Conducting qualitative analysis of data conducted through interviews, focus groups, workshops or other methods. – Carrying out desk research, using a range of methods and sources of data, related to Public Finance – Undertake coordinating and collaborating research team and maintain communication with stakeholders and project partners – Producing high quality and varied research outputs for a range of audiences including analysis, report writing and presentations where necessary. – Supervise research interns and monitor their progress and research assignments – Translation and data management – Maintain research team finance and other related finance workload.

Qualification and Education

Master degree in Economics, Public Administration, Political Science, Statistics, Political Economy, Development Studies

Experience

Project and team management Extensive knowledge in research design, questionnaire development, data gathering methods, field management, data analysis and reporting Finance

Abilities & Skills

Well understanding data visualization web or application Good skills in data analysis tools (statistical package is strongly desirable) Able to architect customize database for bigdata Good IT knowledge including Microsoft office Entrepreneurial attitude Confidence and enthusiasm Flexible and has team spirit Work independent and well perform under pressure

Self-motivation and pro-active attitude Flexible and adaptable attitude to meet the needs of the role Excellent work ethic
