About the role

At Conexus, we are focused on supporting our members with their needs of today, while also helping them pursue their goals for the future. It’s more than conducting a banking transaction, it’s about providing insightful content, tools, expert advice, and a full suite of products to inspire confidence in their financial decision-making. We prioritize performance excellence, and our employees champion each member’s success, ultimately contributing to a thriving province.

We are curious, courageous, confident and committed. Our values ensure we consistently deliver outstanding member experiences. As employees, we are more than just individuals who come to work each day, each role is a vital part of Conexus.

As of January 1, 2026, Conexus, Cornerstone, and Synergy credit unions have merged into one provincial credit union serving over 200,000 members in 57 branches across 50 Saskatchewan communities.

We acknowledge that our Conexus offices and facilities are located on Treaty 2, 4, 5, 6, 8 and 10 lands. These are the traditional lands of the Cree, Dakota, Dene, Lakota, Nakota and Saulteaux peoples, as well as the homeland of the Métis.

The bigger picture

We’re looking for two technical, curious, and collaborative professionals to come on board as Data Engineers on our Platform Engineering team at our College Avenue location in Regina, Saskatchewan. In this role, you are accountable for building, operating, and continuously improving core data platforms and pipelines to ensure trusted, secure, reliable, and scalable access to data across the enterprise. Working in close partnership with business teams and Data & Analytics peers, you’ll translate business needs into practical, scalable solutions and deliver high-quality data foundations that power effective decision-making.

While Regina is the preferred location, we are open to considering various Conexus locations across Saskatchewan.

How you’ll be spending your time

  • Designing and building scalable data pipelines that bring together data from a variety of internal and external sources.
  • Maintaining and enhancing our core data platform to ensure it is reliable, secure, and performs at scale.
  • Automating and optimizing data ingestion, transformation, and deployment processes using modern engineering practices.
  • Monitoring platform performance and implementing data quality controls to continuously improve reliability, cost efficiency, data availability, and the accuracy and completeness of data across the ecosystem.
  • Delivering high-quality, well-documented, production-ready datasets and data pipelines that enable reporting, analytics, advanced data use cases, and AI initiatives.
  • Supporting data governance, security, and regulatory requirements through strong technical controls and data standards.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving data platform issues, contributing to a shared support model that ensures continuity and stability.
  • Collaborating closely with Data & Analytics partners to translate business needs into scalable, member-focused data solutions.

The way people describe you

You’re known as a thoughtful and detail-oriented individual who builds reliable, scalable solutions and takes pride in getting the fundamentals right. Colleagues see you as a collaborative partner who can translate complex data challenges into practical, business-focused outcomes. You bring a strong sense of ownership and curiosity, proactively identifying opportunities to improve and deliver high-quality, trusted data that others can confidently rely on.

The experience you bring

  • Post secondary education in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience
  • 4–7+ years of experience designing, building, and supporting data pipelines and data platforms in a production environment
  • Experience working with modern cloud and on-premises data platforms, supporting large-scale data integration
  • Experience designing data models and optimizing data performance and reliability at scale
  • Proficiency in SQL and one or more programming languages
  •  Working knowledge of data quality, data governance, lineage, security, and privacy practices

Salary range

$93,829 - $134,030 with 15% Short Term Incentive Target
