Casa Bonita Foods is a fast-growing Canadian food manufacturer specializing in authentic Mexican-inspired products, including corn tortillas, tortilla chips, salsas, queso, and seasonings. As one of the leading manufacturers of soft corn tortillas in Canada, we continue to expand both domestically and internationally through major retail and export partnerships.

We are seeking a highly organized, hands-on Finance Manager to help strengthen and professionalize our financial operations as the company continues to grow.

Position Summary

The Finance Manager will oversee the company?s day-to-day financial operations and support the continued growth of the business.

This is a highly hands-on role within a growing entrepreneurial company. The successful candidate will be expected to personally execute and manage many of the daily financial and administrative responsibilities directly, rather than strictly delegating tasks to a large team.

The ideal candidate is operationally minded, detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where adaptability and ownership are critical.

*Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial *

Operations & Cash Flow

  • Manage daily cash flow and liquidity planning
  • Monitor and prioritize vendor payments and operational expenses
  • Prepare weekly and monthly cash flow forecasts
  • Coordinate banking activities and lender reporting requirements
  • Support ownership with financial planning and decision-making

Accounting & Reporting

  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
  • Coordinate month-end and year-end closing activities
  • Prepare internal financial reports and KPI summaries
  • Work closely with external accountants and auditors
  • Maintain accurate financial records and reconciliations

Operational Finance

  • Monitor inventory valuation, costing, and margin performance
  • Support profitability and operational analysis
  • Assist in improving financial controls and internal processes
  • Help implement and maintain organized financial systems and procedures
  • Support and assist in the implementation and optimization of ERP systems and financial reporting tools

Compliance & Administration

  • Ensure compliance with payroll, tax, banking, and regulatory requirements
  • Maintain organized financial documentation and reporting
  • Support insurance, financing, and administrative requirements as needed

Hands-On Expectations

The successful candidate must be comfortable operating in a lean and fast-moving environment and should be willing and able to personally:

  • Manage day-to-day financial operations
  • Handle AP/AR activities directly
  • Prepare payment schedules and cash flow reporting
  • Coordinate vendor and banking communications
  • Maintain organized records and financial documentation
  • Support operational and administrative financial needs as they arise

This role is best suited for someone who enjoys building structure, taking ownership, and working closely with leadership in a growing company environment.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or financial operations
  • Experience in manufacturing and/or food industry preferred
  • Strong understanding of cash flow management and operational finance
  • Experience working with ERP systems and process implementation is considered a strong asset
  • Proficiency with accounting software/ERP systems and Microsoft Excel
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment
  • CPA designation considered an asset but not required
  • Ability to communicate in Japanese or Korean is considered a strong asset due to the company?s growing operations and business relationships in Asia
