About the role
Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to support our finance team. The ideal candidate will have 3?5 years of local accounting experience, a solid accounting education background, and hands-on knowledge of debit and credit principles. Experience in the insurance industry is highly preferred. Cantonese-speaking candidates will be an advantage.
Responsibilities
- Assist with daily accounting operations and data entry
- Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Perform accurate debit and credit postings
- Prepare invoices, receipts, and payment records
- Assist with account reconciliation and month-end closing
- Maintain proper filing of accounting documents and records
- Support audits and prepare required accounting documents
- Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned
Requirements
- 3?5 years of relevant local accounting experience
- Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, debit and credit
- Insurance company experience preferred
- Familiar with accounting software and MS Excel (TAM, Acturis system experience preferred)
- Detail-oriented, responsible, and able to meet deadlines
- *Cantonese *and English are required
