About the role

Overview

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to support our finance team. The ideal candidate will have 3?5 years of local accounting experience, a solid accounting education background, and hands-on knowledge of debit and credit principles. Experience in the insurance industry is highly preferred. Cantonese-speaking candidates will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with daily accounting operations and data entry
  • Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Perform accurate debit and credit postings
  • Prepare invoices, receipts, and payment records
  • Assist with account reconciliation and month-end closing
  • Maintain proper filing of accounting documents and records
  • Support audits and prepare required accounting documents
  • Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned

Requirements

  • 3?5 years of relevant local accounting experience
  • Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, debit and credit
  • Insurance company experience preferred
  • Familiar with accounting software and MS Excel (TAM, Acturis system experience preferred)
  • Detail-oriented, responsible, and able to meet deadlines
  • *Cantonese *and English are required

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $40,000.00-$45,000.00 per year
