What You’ll Do

You will play a crucial role in developing cutting-edge digital product design solutions, crafting artifacts that define seamless product experiences. This involves collaborating closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, contributing expert input on design principles, user experiences, and interactions. As an individual contributor, you will apply your digital product design skills to deliver impactful project outcomes, analyzing user needs and business goals to drive solutions forward. Your work will merge user and business needs through meticulous metrics analysis and testing, contributing to a truly exceptional client journey.

Actively participate in discussions on Digital Product Design strategy, offering advice and recommendations to cross-functional teams to inform product design and ensure craft excellence, consistency, and alignment with design systems and product guidelines. Collaborate with team members to plan and coordinate Digital Product Design projects of medium complexity, estimating timelines and managing activities. Create design artifacts, such as sketches, wireframes, and prototypes, to explore and communicate system designs and client experiences. Develop and refine non-textual content, ensuring consistency and accessibility across digital media, and provide feedback for improvement. Present Digital Product Design work to product and design teams, ensuring design standards and accessibility principles are met, and contribute to the development of consistent client experiences that align with our brand value proposition. Support cross-functional teams, including Design Researchers and Product stakeholders, in informing design decisions through research discussions and data analysis. Assist in developing and refining Digital Product Design solutions by contributing to user flows and prototypes, and participating in research activities to identify areas for improvement and provide design recommendations.

Must-Have Qualifications

BA/BS degree in Design (e.g., interaction, graphic, visual communications, product, industrial), Human Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer Science (CS), or a related field or equivalent practical experience. Portfolio that includes application design samples. A minimum of 3 years of experience in designing usable interfaces across multiple channels and platforms. Experience in an applied research setting, including integrating user research into product designs and design practices. Demonstrated ability to articulate design strategy, rationale, and logic; describing benefits and highlighting risks associated with design decisions. Demonstrated expertise with design, prototyping, and research tools such as Figma, Mural, UserTesting.com.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

MA/MS degree or certification in Design (e.g., interaction, graphic, visual communications, product, industrial), Human Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer Science (CS), or a related field. Strong understanding of strengths and shortcomings of different research methods, including when and how to apply them during each product phase. Appreciation for the potential of ‘design thinking’. Experience working within a large organization and within an agile environment.
