SCACLI is seeking an individual to join us as part of the Ocean Export team in Mississauga. The candidate's role is to coordinate FCL, LCL, specialized containers, Breakbulk and RORO from Canada and USA to worldwide destinations. In addition, this individual will be quoting customers and assisting Sales and Management with rate research. A Customer Service, Sales Oriented personality with strong business skills is an asset.
Position: Full time/Long term.
Responsibilities Coordinate ocean export shipments from Canada and USA to worldwide destinations (FCL, LCL, Specialized equipment, Breakbulk and RORO) Communicate shipment details with our client and overseas partners. Obtain, review, and prepare documentation to meet customers and insurance requirements while following compliance with other countries’ regulations and requirements. Take pride in customer satisfaction. Strengthen relationships and upsell our client base. Quoting our clients and overseas partners and following up. Liaise with multiple carriers and foster and maintain those relationships. Ability to offer effective, creative solutions and work to resolve issues quickly, efficiently, and professionally. Resolve any operational issues that arise and implement measures to prevent their recurrence. Daily tracking of shipments to destination and updating customer base Responsible for billing of shipments, ensure that all charges for services rendered are included, and the rates are billed according to quotation. Audit and approval of invoices from vendors Provide guidance and share their knowledge with other team members. Assisting Management and team members with other tasks from time to time.
Qualifications Minimum 1 year experience in an Ocean Logistics Role. International Business and Supply Chain education is an asset. CIFFA Certificate is an asset. Proficient in English verbal and written. Ability to think outside the box (results oriented) Able to work in a team environment and on their own. Able to work under pressure. Must be organized and detail oriented. Well versed in Microsoft Office software products (Excel / Outlook / Teams / Word) Willing to work after hours if and when required.
