The Finance team is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Head of Controllership who thrives in a fast-paced, complex environment and is passionate about ensuring financial integrity, strong governance, and high-quality financial reporting. In this role, you will lead all controllership activities, including accounting policy, financial reporting, and operational accounting oversight. You will partner closely with FP&A, Treasury, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure accurate financial results, strong controls, and alignment with accounting standards. As a Finance leader, you will bring deep technical accounting expertise and a proven ability to manage complex accounting environments, including non-standard transactions and evolving business structures.Key Responsibilities Lead operational controllership across the organization, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and integrity of financial results Provide accounting guidance and technical interpretation of IFRS, including complex and non-standard transactions Lead financial results review, including monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes Oversee corporate accounting activities, including preparation of standalone financial statements for statutory and regulatory reporting Support accounting evaluation of strategic initiatives, including lease assessments and capital vs. operating treatment Lead audit coordination and support external and internal audit requirements Strengthen financial controls, governance frameworks, and accounting processes Build and lead a high-performing controllership team, including managers and accounting professionals
Critical Qualifications CPA designation required Deep expertise in technical accounting (IFRS), with strong experience in complex and judgmental areas 7+ years of progressive experience in controllership, financial reporting, or audit within large, complex organizations Proven ability to assess and conclude on complex accounting matters, including leases (IFRS 16) and capital vs. operating classifications Strong knowledge of statutory and regulatory reporting requirements Experience managing audits and working with external auditors Strong leadership and team development experience Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills High attention to detail with strong focus on governance and control environment Adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
