Are you a detail-oriented and organized professional? We're seeking a Junior Accounts Payable Associate who is committed to accuracy, enjoys solving problems, and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

About the role:

Reporting to the Corporate Controller, the Junior Accounts Payable Associate is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of supplier invoices, employee expense reimbursements, and corporate credit card transactions. This role ensures financial records are complete and accurate, maintains strong vendor relationships, and supports month-end close activities through account reconciliations and reporting.

Location:

This role is based out of our Global Headquarters located in Acton, ON, Canada. 

Responsibilities:

  • Process vendor invoices by reviewing approvals, coding, and supporting documentation to ensure accurate and timely payments.
  • Manage the Accounts Payable inbox and retrieve invoices from supplier portals.
  • Process employee expense reports in accordance with company policies.
  • Reconcile and administer corporate credit card transactions across Canada, the United States, Honduras, El Salvador, and Mexico.
  • Investigate and resolve invoice, payment, and credit card discrepancies by working with vendors, cardholders, managers, and internal departments.
  • Respond to vendor inquiries and maintain positive supplier relationships.
  • Reconcile vendor statements, support month-end activities, and assist with internal and external audits.
  • Maintain accurate vendor records and identify opportunities to improve accounts payable processes and efficiencies.
  • Provide cross-functional support and assist with other Finance projects and duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Combined co-op / internship experience and schooling or minimum one (1) year experience is required.
  • Experience processing corporate credit card or employee expense programs.
  • Experience using ERP or accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Sage, Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle, QuickBooks, or similar).
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently as well as collaboratively.
  • High level of integrity and discretion when handling confidential financial information.
  • Experience with NetSuite and SAP Concur Expense Module is considered an asset
  • Experience in a manufacturing, distribution, or multi-location environment is considered an asset
